Palestinians and Zionist immigrants to Palestine were living in peace in Ottoman and then British Palestine until violence began at Tel Hai in 1920.
What followed was the Nebi Nusa Riots also in 1920, the Jaffa Riots in 1921, and the Palestinian Riots and Hebron Massacre in 1929.
By 1936 there was a civil war in Palestine.
