Time Limits Everything

By Abel Ashes (All rights reserved)

Time Limits Everything was a song  by Abel Ashes and Max Vazin recorded in demo form for the soundtrack to an independent film entitled Time Limits. The song was not selected for inclusion in the soundtrack and was never re-recorded. The original lyric featured in the demo had two additional verses by Max Vazin not included here. This song has never been performed live.

First you will be born and then you’re gonna die.
What I tell you is the truth, ‘cause I don’t often lie.
The past has come and gone.
The future is to come.
If you wanna to quit cigarettes then chew a pack of gum.
Time limits everything.
I think you know what I mean.
Look there is a fish crawling out of the ocean.
As you can see its gills are turning into lungs.
First you will be smart and then you will be dumb.
First you’ll suck a nipple and then you’ll suck your thumb.
Time limits everything.
I think you know what I mean.
No matter what they tell you torture isn’t fun.
You might think I’m crazy but I’m not the only one.
Fish turn into monkeys and monkeys turn to man.
Call it right, call it wrong, but call it nature’s plan.
Time limits everything.
I think you know what I mean.
London is an old city and so is good old Rome.
Sweat hole Alabama is my good old home.
When you lose your hair you get a shiny dome.
Someday in the future every sheep will have a clone.
Time limits everything.
I think you know what I mean.
