Martyrdom in jihad has long been promoted within Islam, especially Shia Islam. However, the “Islamic” suicide bombing is a relatively new concept that emerged in the 1980s. The earliest historical examples of suicide bombings occurred as acts of revolution in Czarist Russia. Then, more famously, there were the Japanese Kamikaze pilots of WWII. An Iranian boy self-martyred during the Iran/Iraq War, Mohammed Hossein Fahmideh, is celebrated in Iran as history’s first Muslim suicide bomber. He allegedly strapped himself with explosives and ran under an Iraqi tank during the Iran/Iraq War. The Iranian back Lebanese Shia group Hezbollah soon adopted suicide bombing, … Continue reading A Brief history of “Islamic” suicide bombing
On another page where Muslims and atheists debate, a young man, presumably Muslim, asked “Do atheist men secretly admire Muslim women?” After some asked what he meant exactly, he clarified that he was speaking of “physical attributes” of “Muslim women”. This is what I wrote in response: Physical qualities of Muslim women? Muslim women can be of any size, shape, ethnicity, color, height, weight, shoe size, bra size, pants size, waist diameter, BMI, nose size, mouth shape, eye color, hand size, level of hairiness, hair thickness, hair length, hair color, size and shape of vulva, shape and size of buttocks, … Continue reading “Do atheist men secretly admire Muslim women?”
From a page where people were debating whether the Israel/Palestine issue was relevant to a discussion about the 9/11 attacks. My comments: The Israeli/Palestinian issue is relevant in the sense that it is among the primary complaints of Al Qaeda that they claim as motive for their attacks against the USA. However Al Qaeda are not Palestinian nationalists who would recognize the rights of Palestinian Christians and atheists. They certainly wouldn’t recognize the rights of Jews indigenous to the Middle East or whose ancestors were forced into the diaspora by Islamic regimes. The Israel/Palestine issue for them is about their … Continue reading How the Israel/Palestine conflict is relevant to the issues of al Qaeda, the 9/11 attacks, and jihadist movements in general
What I find interesting about the “secondary explosives” in the WTC issue is that everyone on both sides of the “inside job” issue seems to automatically link “secondary explosives” with “inside job”. An Al Qaeda linked cell put a bomb in the parking garage of the WTC in 1993 and that bomb builder is the same Ramzi Yousef who conceived of flying planes into targets in the USA and his uncle is “9/11 mastermind” Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. They are both engineers and Yousef was a master bomb builder. They both had many supporters among the Islamic extremist community in New … Continue reading If there were any “secondary explosive devices” in the Twin Towers on 9/11/01 al Qaeda probably put them there.
FYI my fellow Americans, you arrogant uninformed bloviating idiots who feel the need to smugly bash on the men and women who keep you safe…this is why one might be “paranoid” about a pressure cooker on the Washington Mall on Memorial Day. Did you know-nothing fools already forget the Boston Marathon bombing? http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pressure_cooker_bomb Continue reading Why it was not “stupid” or “paranoid” for Washington DC cops to be concerned about a pressure cooker near the Washington Mall
When people say things like “The land belongs to Israel” or “The land belongs to Palestinians” which land are they talking about? “All of it”? What does that mean? British Palestine? The 1967 borders? The 1947 borders? The former Islamic Caliphate? Which former Caliphate? “Greater Israel”? From the Indian Subcontinent to Spain and Morocco? Illegal settlements? Hebron where “Jews” and “Arabs” of all three Abrahamic faiths had lived together for centuries? Jerusalem, the most important city for both secular and religious Jewish culture and history, the third holiest city in the world for Muslims, the holiest for observant Jews, quite … Continue reading Israel/Palestine: The land belongs to (fill in the blank)…which land?
50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can’t Be Wrong Some Muslim guy dutifully carrying out his online Dawa duties robotically asked the old cliched question “Are 1.6 billion Muslims insane?”, to which I replied with the following. First of all, a lot of those 1.6 billion are non-believers who are counted as “Muslims” against their will and a lot of the rest of them are children who are not yet old enough to even know if they agree with Islam or not. If you have to force people to join your religion at birth and threaten them with consequences ranging from eternal hell … Continue reading 50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can’t Be Wrong
