All people should be considered to be “owners” of the “property” we call “universal human rights” simply because they are conscious and sentient human beings. A person’s rights should not depend on which clump of dirt in which ocean their mother happened to be in when said person plopped out of her vagina. To this desirable end via global human rights law and the eradication of theocracy, monarchy, plutocracy, tyranny, and lawlessness, I assert that national civil rights exist primarily, so far as they do exist, because there are national civil rights laws that have enforceable punishments nationwide and national authorities authorized to do the punishing. Global problems require global solutions.
