New book alleges 9/11 warnings were ignored by Bush Administration more focused on Iraq than Al Qaeda
A new book, “500 Days: Secrets and Lies in the Terror Wars” by Kurt Eichenwald, alleges that the George W. Bush Administration ignored warnings in advance of the 9/11 attacks because they didn’t take the threat of Al Qaeda seriously and were more concerned with finding excuses to attack Iraq.
“The Bush administration was warned that Osama Bin Laden was plotting the Sept. 11 attacks much earlier than previously thought, according to a blockbuster new book. But President Bush’s advisers, fixated on bringing down Iraqi despot Saddam Hussein, believed Bin Laden was blowing smoke, reporter Kurt Eichenwald claims in “500 Days: Secrets and Lies in the Terror Wars.” The result was a national tragedy that left nearly 3,000 dead…”. – The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks down the devastating piece on the events prior to 9/11.
This book sounds excellent. I can’t wait to read it.
I also suggest: TRIPLE CROSS by Peter Lance – COVER-UP by Peter Lance – 1,000 YEARS FOR REVENGE by Peter Lance – THE COMPLETE 9/11 TIMELINE by Paul Thompson – THE OSAMA BIN LADEN I KNOW by Peter Bergen – HOLY WAR INC. by Peter Bergen – PERFECT SOLDIERS by Terry Mc Dermott – MASTERMINDS OF TERROR by Yosri Fouda and Nick Fielding
Finally we may be getting to the real story after all of the cover-ups and bullshit conspiracy theories.
